With You
Father,
Never alone, I see your presence
When a stranger nods in passing,
From the love in a child's laugh,
From the peace in a twinkle of an old man's eye,
From the joyous sincerity of a tails wag,
When stillness calls from the small hours of a new day,
In the softness of a raindrops fall,
When I hear a symphony in silence,
To feel true passion from a poem,
From the soft fragrance of new mown hay,
From the assuring warmth of sun in winter,
From a song, I know, that just keeps singing,
From the majesty of a mountain peak,
From a life lived for the treasure of your intent,
Pray find me worthy.
