With My Thanks Giving
For the family from whose roots I came;
for the children that my spouse and I begot;
for the children that our children too begot . . .
I come to thee, God, with my thanks giving.
For the jobs I’ve had and the job I still hold;
for the work with which my husband has sustained us;
for the food on our tables and our many needs met . . .
I come to thee, God, with my thanks giving.
For the beauties of nature – the sights I have seen;
for the sounds, the smells, and the tastes I adore;
for friendships, talents, and all my blessings . . .
I come to thee, God, with my thanks giving.
