Wishing Well
Wishing well, oh wishing well
In your water do dreams dwell
For a coin I toss in
Will my wish begin
Is there magic down there
That will bless me up here
Plop a coin into your blue
Hopes and desires come true
Wishing well, oh wishing well
I won't think, I will feel
Drop my coin into your deep
Grant what my heart seeks
But if my coin falls on another
Will that wish it faintly smother
And if in time
Will that happen to mine
Wishing well, oh wishing well
In your water do dreams dwell
I want to believe
My coin I relieve
Watch it sink in
Let my wish begin
I will build around you a temple
If wishes are so simple
