Wishes
When I wish upon a star
Silently, wisely smiling down
Whose power is of wide renown
I feel love, though from afar.
Wishing on dandelions
Blowing hard on the fluffy seeds
Certain they are magic, not weeds
No care of my environs.
I wish on candles each year
Whilst all friends cheer me on loudly
My big dreams kept secret proudly
Waiting for hope to appear.
I wish for more fairyland
Where the night air subtly glistens,
And even the wildlife listens,
Life unites a merry band!
