Wish You Were Here
In my mind, the lines begin to form
Sketching itself for a representation
Every one detail, drawn to belong
Slow yet inviting in its final presentation
As I begin to see a face
As clearly as I remember, I’m to recognize
That someone I long to embrace
Someone in this very portraiture, no one can ever buy
We are so far yet I’m to feel you near
As always as certain, you are the picture I see
I can only wish you were here
What remains, can I only embrace you in a memory
And I held you for a moment longer
Always longer than time would simply allow
Your scent might perhaps just become stronger
Given my vivid imagination and not just anyhow
Every one detail in full completion
Your every one line to signify your form
Inviting as always your every presentation
In my mind if not always, you belong
