What a touching and considerate memorial, Dear Sara. You can express a lot with very few words. It is delightful to witness your lovely parents glowing with joy.

awww, thank you, kind Sotto, for your visit and positive words about my folks. They glowed like that a lot...always upbeat and in love with one another, their family, and life in general. I was blessed...miss them both, especially in the wintertime. Wishing you well, your poetess friend in Texas

thank you, Silent One, for your visit and for your kind words about my parents. I'm grateful for the few pictures I have of them, aside from the ones in my heart & mind. :-) Yes, mobile phones do allow flexibility with taking and keeping photos. Enjoy the remainder of your weekend, Sara

What a beautiful picture of your parents dear Sara, both of them are so gorgeous. And your father looks smitten so in love and your mother looks so stunning. I love pictures like this. And how beautiful is this senryu. There are some seasons and months that can especially remind us of our loved ones. And I hope you find solace as always in knowing you were loved etc. sending you light always. Grief is never easy. It comes in waves. Hang in there dear sara.

thank you dearest Ink, for your lovely words. You're right. My dad was smitten with my mom and stayed that way. He adored her and loved her deeply. Mother was a striking German woman who loved dad equally as much. You're right. Winter seems to bring us reminders of the past, especially the folks no longer here. Grief does come in waves. Been 20 years since their passing...two months apart. Anyway, thank you. Have a great day, Sara

Both your parents if I had to read their expressions, look friendly open hearted and ready for a bright future, had they known they would have given birth to a beautiful daughter like you, their smiles would have reached the heavens :) love...

double awwww! I agree, their faces look hopeful despite World War II raging in Europe, etc. They were always positive. I neve heard them argue or say anything negative about anyone...they guided and parented my brothers and me with the lives they lived. I'd like to think that they're smiling down at me and inspiring me to write. I do feel their presence, if that makes sense. I'm deeply grateful for your words. hugs, Sara

thanks for your visit, Hilda, and for your kind words regarding my tribute. I agree, sometimes winter can feel a bit lonely. I enjoy solitude, but loneliness is entirely different. Blessings, Sara
