Winter's Wrath
Can I tell you of a
place?
A place that brings
me joy?
Wander through the
pine trees
Follow me, don’t be
coy
See the foggy lights
Fighting through the
snow flakes
Sparkling daintily,
young
Take the time it
takes
See the snow-capped
trees
The lamps that try
to burn
This place is empty
of infinity
But for time and
space it yearns
Can you hear that
sound?
The sound of dancing
fireflies?
Can you see them
floating?
Floating on the
breeze
The air is thick
with cold
Crisp, burning in
your chest
Breathe in deeply,
feel the air
Rushing in, then
rest
Can you find me in
this place?
You may search as
long as you need
But I’m warning you
once
My words, please
take in heed
Do not venture far
from here
Or leave the dirt
trodden path
I’m out of reach if
you follow these
rules
But fail to do so;
feel Winter’s wrath
