Winter's Wake

Frigid timbers creak Bearing heaviest snow yet ... Warming sun awakes

Such a wonderful haiku my dear poet friend, Kelly. How I wish I can experience these beautiful seasons too someday. In the country where I live right now, we've only wet and dry seasons but dry season is longer and extreme. I enjoyed your poem my dear friend. Thanks a lot for sharing. Blessings to you always and to your golden pen. Hugs

Thank you so much, Len... I hope you do get the chance to experience the beauty of the winter season, but it can get very, very cold at times here in Wisconsin... Thankfully, we are finally beginning to get some much warmer weather now :)

From what I see on TV, some areas out west and up north have had some really snowy, sleetly, cold weather and still are. I like the way you so aptly describe the scene. I hope you do get some warming and relief from what you and your area have experience. Thanks for sharing this one and for dropping by my page. Sara
