I suffer from chronic depression. Add to that the winter doldrums also known as SAD (seasonal affective disorder): fun, fun!
In my old age I have become bitter, and disinclined to hear pleadings from my sage.. It's only winter's cold curse, how I long for summer's rays to warm my soul and slay my heart's malaise.

Thank goodness our Texas winters have much sun! I lived in Colorado for many years - once 54 days without the sun - yikes! Your poem chilled my bones Chetta. :)

Dear Chetta, you say it so well. My wife is not a winter girl and adores the summer. I am more of a four seasons. I do relate to your poem and the many who do not feel well in winter. - Blessings, Daniel

I agree...the dreary days are weaing on my soul...I long for warmth and sunshine...have sort of become disengaged lately. Have a pleasant evening, Sara
