Winter's Blanket

With an expectant face turned skyward, comes a gentle quality that is heard. Breathing in the crispness all its own, I watch the hypnotic falling snow. I smile as delicate feather soft flakes, drift to sweetly kiss lashes and face. With my cheeks a cold blushing glow, a calmness in me begins to grow. Delivering a blanket of fresh fallen white, lace upon lace, builds a quilt of ice. Standing still, I listen intently, to the soft "hush" when snow falls gently. You can paint a scene and present feelings with seemingly little effort. That is a great talent, indeed.
