Winters a Thief

Steel coloured sky days Lawns wearing white coats. Misty mornings hide the coming day. Breath hanging there Where they words or just hot air. Lakes frozen solid Mere mortals walking on water. Squirrels dancing on skeleton trees. To the sound of bird calls. Dogs better dressed than their owners being taken for a spin. Shorter days, longer nights to dream of sun kissed beaches. you leave for work no sign of light return in darkness another day lost winters pick pocketing your life one day at a time.

Trees shedding summers splendour Yielding to natures calendar Hammocks neatly packed away No more summer days to sway petals falling off wilting roses floating down as summer closes misty mornings replace those hazy days no more warming sunny rays autumns beauty turn to shine with an autumnal coloured sky line whoever named the four seasons named autumn with good reason as autumn shares it’s very name with a girl who’s beauty is just the same
