Winters Here

WINTER"S HERE The leaves are falling, a new season comes calling, orange, red, and fuscia leaves, scattered up and down by the breeze . As balmy breezes strip the trees , these whispering trees await the freeze, A serene blend of beauty Fall slips away, gone are the days on the lakes, back-yard bar-be-ques, and clam-bakes. The snow-fall comes our noses run, winter's here we'll make snowmen for fun.

I enjoyed your winter poem, Joan, and the shape you choose. We don't get snow here in CA. so it is a pleasure to read about it in poems. But I come from Iowa, and we do got much snow and winter blizzards when I lived there. You might like my poem "Winter Woods" Blessings, Darlene
