Winter Winds

Staring out the window that is my life Black and white and gray Droplets of rain slide down, down Then they vanish, without purpose Winter winds cut straight to the bone Rattling dead branches Nothing left to feel, nothing alive A life devoid of color Snowflakes blend into my pale skin I reach my frail finger out to touch them But they are just out of reach Avoiding me, just like Everyone else.
