Winter Tears

Dark, December days dim brightest holiday lights and silence sleigh bells. She grieves for summer's sunlight as tears fall like bitter snow.

this is a remarkable write. I long for summer when it's winter, but when it's summer, it's vise versa (meaning I would prefer winter)...hahaha... i like the 1st and last 2 lines best!! Have yourself a good week.

Just had to drop by and read this masterpiece again. As I said before, GREAT use of alliteration which flows so naturally and is not forced like some poems I have read...

rhonda, what I enjoyed most about yours was the use of alliteration in the words used. Congrats for your win, and I enjoyed your words with this visual tanka.

I think some people do suffer from depression in the wintertime. Personally, I love the beauty of the snow, and the quiet solitude that it brings. This poem was beautifully expressed, Rhonda! I really enjoyed the read!...Thank you so much for the wonderful congrats on my poem. And, I really do appreciate the fave! :)
