Howling artic gusts frighten birds on snow clad trees frozen wings swept off Winter sun burns ice storm force gales melt and mellow creatures free to roam Window frames rattle wooden huts quake in harsh climes homely folks cluster Reindeer sleigh dots sky children’s starry-eyed rapt gleam carols thaw iced fog
