Winter Nights
I pay no mind to winter's cold
Locked in my lover's arms.
Although the wind is growing bold
The moonlight has its charms.
Love keeps me from night's harms.
I long to keep him always near,
My love for him is true,
Dreading to see the day appear
When he must say adieu,
The daylight hours I rue.
Welcoming winter night again
I do not mind the snow.
When daylight brings me lonely pain
Because he has to go,
I yearn for moonlight's glow.
