Winter Magic
In silent secret a winter queen
dresses the still woods in ice dream cream.
Her chilly lips kiss our faces in wet drops
each divinely fashioned
each uniquely its own.
In screaming winds, the winter queen
loses fury from her northern home.
Icy fingers touch tender ribs in cold shock.
Through layers of warmth, they find way.
All hail, the magic queen,
her lactescent highness,
a silver fox with frigid breath.
Blessing the land with frozen teardrops,
falling willows among rose thorns,
she waves her wand and
snow drifts take flight.
