Winter Blues
Call me winter and I'll melt for you
Expose bare branches for the perch of new blues
Find my joints bending cold and achy like the whistling days
Enraptured by what spring brings, I can't handle it this way
Even the browns bring more comfort
than the stark white of our disposition
I pass you in daytime to walk into night
Call me winter and I'll hail for you
knock against all the answers that we always knew
Pounding enough to echo what rings true
The hollow of concave structures that your lure leaves behind
you are the breadth and depth of what's 'ripefully' mine
