Winter Birds
Winter Birds
The winter birds are energized and hungry.
The feeder is filled, within moments they are here.
They are chirping, singing and eating with cheer.
They must know the first snow may be tonight.
They are swooping, flying and sitting on a clothes line.
Talking to each other like it’s their own social circle.
They are happy as can be, even when the skies are gray.
Making it impossible not to smile on this given day.
