Winter

Winter is here, kiss of the frozen steel Void of deep colors Waits for her mask to peel The trees pain in shedding leaves Like brave mothers lost children in battlefields Dried tears nest on barks With branches waving scintillating stars Forest is in a hibernation Under sparkling snow Hiding treasures from scavengers and crows Rending air pierces into the wild Sings a ghostly lullaby I watch winter dance in flair Its vastness numbs my feeling Whiteness washes out my unsettling despair
