Winning Fairly
The judges took me to the side,
whispering softly “You've gotten them
all right, but you cannot win everything.
It isn't fair to the other children.”
I rolled my eyes and pulled on
my pigtails. If I had won them
all, I should get them all. Adults
are so silly in their concepts of fair.
