Winds of Time
Time, I've found, is fleeting
It's here and then it's gone
Youth is quite deceiving
It doesn't last so long
Childhood seems to creep by
Then teen years pick up speed
Parenting days, how they fly
In meeting young one's needs
So ride the winds of time
Too quickly they will go
Life is meant to savor
Before winds cease to blow
The cycle will repeat
My children will be grown
Echoes of little feet
I'll hear when I'm alone
How did they grow so fast?
When did the years slip by?
The future, now the past
In disbelief, I sigh
So ride the winds of time
Glide gently with it's flow
Make memories sublime
Before winds cease to blow
