A warm + intriguing Monoku. Sight is much more that simply opened eyes; it requires a welcoming acceptance shared by two. Very well penned, John. All the best, Brian

The intimacy of looking deeply into another's eyes, the personal exposure of letting someone look deeply into our own eyes takes a willingness, a commitment in communication on a soulful level that reveals so much more than mere words ever can. What a beautiful, tender and meaningful monoku, John. So thought-provoking. Warmest wishes, my inspiring friend.. ~Susan

Thanks Susan you really have a remarkable way of intuitively understanding the deeper part of the message, this one seems simple but you got to the heart of the matter (Don Henley reference) thanks so much for your generous words!

I wonder sometimes if the soul sees through the eyes of its human, or whether it sees through its heart and the heart is the true window. Do we / do souls, metaphorically see through the eyes, or the heart?

Thanks Leanne. Since we are souls the eyes do see to the innermost self, who we are deep inside, and if we look deep enough in others eyes we can see who they are deep inside. That's why so many cannot maintain eye contact, they know if they do then they will be exposed, especially if they have evil intentions.

I hope so, for it's the only way to have an open mind to so many things. This is a real "eye opening" Monoku, John. Please pardon my pun. ;)

Good question. Seems when our eyes are open, the eyes of so many- are not. Wise words my dear friend. This is beautiful and tender, all at the same time. ~ Brandy
