You wind along, jutting in and out:
sneaking under leafy limbs, you pace,
slithering past grasslands there about,
like a shiny snake with stealth and grace.
Further down you creep past rolling hills,
lawns so green with homes and lovely view.
Silver ripples mirror sun that thrills
eyes of those above that follow you.
Time idles by as you move along,
creeping with your never-ending flow.
Mysteries hide deep, to you belong,
as you glide past here from long ago.
