Wind Words
I wrote my love
on a maple leaf
and mailed it into
the wind.
That's the chance
I had in finding
my once in a lifetime
friend.
but the westwind
took it to you,
on a whisper
and a prayer
and somehow
my heart knew you
would be reading it
somewhere.
