William Filby
Born in Oxfordshire,
converted in his youth
to Church of JHS,
great noble man and little shy.
He was ordained a priest in France.
Commissioned by the Lord
to make disciples among his own people,
so there he came.
For as the ages never fade
and man cannot stumble in Christ’s light.
He was just sharing the Gospel
when they arrested him
and ended his life in unjust execution.
His life was his testimony
for future generations –
crucible of faith, martyr of England.
