Wildflower Gardens

Glossy, heart-shaped leaves of galax ringed ‘round the lingering lilacs that played across the garden gate, bent now – bowed from foliage’ weight. Wild roses replace Venus et fleur having a sweet natural alure. Chicory and Madonna lily grow here and there, and willy-nilly. Bachelor buttons and blue bonnets clothe the field with unsung sonnets. Coreopsis and black-eyed Susans frolic with their rambunctious cousins. Of all the flowers God has wrought I love the ones that were last thought. Haphazard flair of wild flowers bestow joy with dewy showers.

Even a wild flower is a marvel of creation and has its own beauty. From your lovely poem, I could learn the names of a few wild flowers, I haven't heard before. This poem is absolutely beautiful. Thanks Linda for shating this.

What a cute poem Linda, I love flowers that look pretty and always inquire at the nurseries whether they are summer or winter plants however I do prefer evergreen plants like lavender, roses, black eyed susies. Your poem for me bounces in the air feather light laughing and playing with us, the flowers inviting us into their world. I love your poem it is a fav for me. Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

I'm humbled and honored Jennifer. There are so many beautiful flowers, weeds, plants. They are all beautiful to me. This summer we had 4'-5' tall thistles - I'm sorry I didn't get a picture before they were gone - next year. LOL Thank you so much for your supportive words and fav!

Astonishingly how glossy wildflower gardens can be. No gardeners to cleaning and watering but still glossy in the eyes of many folks. God is always the Best. Glory to Him.... Well penned this magnificent poem.

Hello Alfonso. Nice to see you today. I appreciate your wonderful comment. I agree with your appraisal of "gardens" without gardeners. :)

I appreciate the wonderful imagery you created of the various flowers. We have flowers that are bowed from foliage weight. They'll be gone soon. I like the phrase 'clothe the field with unsung sonnets.' That's artistic and beautiful. You have a wonderful gift. Thanks for sharing it, Sara

We were hiking recently and espied these really neat little orange buggers. My wife has an app that instantly identifies a flower when photoed. They were jewelled orange something or others. Some of the prettiest flowers can be found among the weeds. Nice poem

I agree Tom. Not only among the weeds, but actually ARE weeds. Thanks so much for stopping by with your nice comment! :)
