Wildfire

The hiss and snap of a lethal snake Crackling through the sky, through the forest he rakes Down all of the trees, plants, and innocent creatures Burning them horribly to grotesque features Red, orange, and yellow consuming the earth Taking the forest away from its worth And leaving behind the tattered old remains The snake has won, the land in its chains Of greed, power, the snake's lifelong slave For when all hope is gone, there’s no room for the brave.
