Why Cannot I

The memories of past That was long ago lost Crawl into the heart’s vacant Like the biting serpents An indescribable pain They deposit in every vein The horrible hissing they cause Put a shivering pause To all the joys and sorrows As if looking into dark hollows Their sharp tongues’ needles Send torturing sparkles Why can’t I go back On to the lost track? Is there anybody still standing Or my heart is just pretending? Can there be any space For me in those heart in any case?
