Why Am I Here At the Poerty Soup
Why am I here at the poetry-soup
Overpowered by dark shades of thoughts,
when I was losing myself to depression,
Sweeter side of me wrapped in satin of frost,
bitterness had engulfed all my passion,
A tiny sparkle of light peeped into my core,
and set my deep inside aglow,
Gladness wiped all the tears of remorse,
as I let my buried emotions flow,
Soup lit my pen that had long lost its lustre
and dug muse free of condemned heap of dust,
Encouraged and soon I was one contest buster,
the blazing ink thence turned robust,
Soup gives vent to veiled sublime emotions,
offers poetry contests that sharpen the nib,
Cherishing intellectual communications,
new forms and words tranquil the learning crib,
Reading exquisite gems is the real game
Be a winner in contest, gets worthy fame,
Missing to enter is the biggest shame,
Still hurt and loneliness, how can we claim?
Life enchants melody of poetry soup,
Serenity peaks to my soul's whoop.
