Why
Why do I do it.
Why with each dime I get,
Do I conveniently forget
My promise to myself,
To stop, to do something else.
I can’t, but believe I can.
My belief is lost,
When money finds my hand.
This is the last.
I swear. No more.
The hangover fades.
Why do I do it restored.
