John 3:16 (KJV) “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” Life in the shadows, yearning for light, ruined by the terror, the worry, the dread, fear that feels much darker than the night, afore I reach out to the One who bled. Life spent reaching for the grace that I know, grace raining down on those who believe. It is this love, this grace, that tells me to let go, so His gentle grace will bring amazing reprieve. Life burdened by doubt, darkened by suspicion, results in anguish that destroys the joyful soul, listen, friend, don’t give the devil ammunition. Let God’s light shine bright so love is in control. Life is hard sometimes and it feels beyond hope, but there is One who knows just how you feel. He makes a way for the heart to know how to cope, frees us with faith so that we remember to kneel. Life led by selfishness, when pride is allowed to reign, brings the soul shame that coats minds with its blame, sometimes the fears and tears make one feel insane. But when God has His say, His love we’ll all proclaim! Life might be hard and even brutal at times, but I know a man who restores peace within. He makes a way to elude the worst of crimes, Reassures the heart that He’ll forgive every sin. Life in the shadows, where we long for light, brings the soul down with sin that’s so clever, leaves the heart tortured by the fear, the fight, then God reminds, there’s shelter for each whosoever.

Dear Gina, your poems are always very uplifting and this one beautifully captures the struggle of life's shadows and the transformative power of God's love and grace. I loved the imagery of light breaking through darkness and the reassurance of faith shine brightly throughout your words. Your message of hope and redemption is deeply moving and that no matter how dark life may seem, there is always light and love waiting to embrace us. Thank you for sharing this inspiring reflection. - Blessings, Daniel

powerful and rejuvenating poem, dear Gin. I felt uplifted after reading your poem. I agree with these words: Life might be hard and even brutal at times, but I know a man who restores peace within. As I approach the new day, I carry this reminder in my heart: Life in the shadows, where we long for light, brings the soul down with sin that’s so clever,' It's the cleverness of sin that I sometimes don't see. Have a lovely day, hugs & blessings, Sara
