Whom Do Will We Thank As Our Lord and God?

Thanksgiving Dinner is ready to be served, the fat turkey is steaming on the table; sparkling apple cider and wine to wash it down as we delight in its delectable smell and taste, and who would eat it in haste? Silence has filled the dining room at six, heads bow and everyone joins in prayer... and whom will we thank as our Lord and God? His name is rarely or never spoken... a Holy Name of the Old Testament not to be invoked? Who are the hypocrites who dare not speak it, and if some of us believe we can do without it: we find ourselves down the dark road alone... and He will not carry us through our old age, to provide for us, to sustain us when we lack courage and faith...that He will do exactly what He has promised!
