Whole Heart

A step outside And the cold air swallows me My face feels prickles in the frigid air My lungs tighten and each breath it strained Goosebumps arise on my neck and through my clothing I shiver slightly yet hold my original pose An icy breeze rolls by whistling through my hair I close my eyes and feel the air kiss my rosy cheeks I curl and uncurl my stiff fingers Then clench my fists and cross my arms tightly I wait so solemnly and cold He whispers in my ear the warm air tickling me His arms slide around me and pull me toward him Hot fiery moist air showers my cold neck There we stand together as it should be Sturdy as one being through it all And as my breathing slows knowing he is here I lean into him In every way can feel the love flowing between us As the cold bites the tip of my nose He slowly turns me around Kisses my chapped lips so softly He breathes 'I love you' with his whole heart For once the world is peaceful and serene Waiting, waiting, waiting... As we turn together toward the warmth of the house I whisper oh so softly 'My heart is ever at your service...' And we walk inside as one Note: William Shakespeare, was a true genius, his quote 'My heart is ever at your service' is said to be one of the best love quotes of all time, he knew how to say things the way they were. We should all learn from him.
