Who Are We At Our Core Poetry Contest

Sponser: Unseeking Seeker

Line of inquiry: “we look for that that does not come and go it cannot be organic form, subject to decay thoughts and beliefs are fickle, how little we know yet come what may, our inner child continues to play” Who am I is the question I ask in the dimness of a darkened room the one my husband fancies on the moon one with ideas that doesn't explode in a flask. Am I simply one I see in the mirror asking question that come from the galaxy asking questions that no one expects of me Am I the image that I fear? Have I given my way to insanity existing in a bubble all my own could I break the surrounding stone is my existence mere vanity? Not a monolith but a complex being indeed so my thoughts run wild like a steed!

Enjoyed your searching poem, and I liked the variety of your thoughts. The last two lines seemed to nail it. If I wrote for the contest, I think I'd write from the POV of an apple, lol.
