The wailing shrieks
of a banshee
warns of death
hidden amidst the chaos
created by a blizzard.
And skeleton trees
rattle bare bones
as Winter's wrath
shakes and pounds them
with fists of snow.
Blue skies are obscured in
a flurry of confetti,
white on white.
And temperatures drop
as a ravenous wind
gnashes its teeth;
snarling like a rabid dog,
nipping and biting
at any exposed skin.
