White Christmas
Our winter days can bring that snow
Which sometimes we're not ready for.
An inconvenience, for we know,
It can become a heavy chore.
But Christmas Eve is not complete
Without her blanket, smooth and white.
And Christmas morn we love to greet
White beauty spread throughout the night.
To watch the snowflakes gently fall
In glow of moonlight, Christmas Eve,
Observe the whiteness drift and sprawl;
A blanket made with magic weave.
Then in the morn, in window's view,
Those pristine mounds of snow we see;
Such purity 'neath sky of blue
Fills up our hearts with Christmas glee.
We dream of Christmas pure and white
Somehow expect that lovely sight
As symbol of the love and light
That shines at Christmastime so bright.
