I have come to realize that my greatest error lies in constantly prioritizing others' needs over my own, as a people pleaser.
..
.
In the quiet moments when the world is still,
I've seen you crying, I've witnessed your will.
Tears that fall like gentle rain,
I've stood beside you through joy and pain.
I've seen you in moments of deep despair,
Shouldering burdens, it seems so unfair.
Yet, I've witnessed your laughter, a melody,
Echoing through moments when your spirit is free.
I'm always here for you, a steadfast friend,
Through every twist and turn, until the very end.
But in the shadows where my own tears may fall,
Who'll be there for me, to answer my call?
Who'll see me when the skies are gray,
Support me when I lose my way?
In the silent chambers of my heart's plea,
I wonder, dear friend, who'll be here for me?
Life's journey is shared, yet a solitary ride,
I've been your confidant, always by your side.
Now I ponder, in this silent plea,
Who'll be here for me, as I am for thee?
