While I Was Sleeping (Hell On Earth)
I dreamt of future prospects pushing boundaries of my dreams
The likes of which exceeds the limits life allows to do
Familiar unknown dwellings lined with promises it seems
Ascending as I hoped to reach the heights we all aspire to
Where everything is perfect and reflects eternity as such
In no way like the middle class of pain I now endure
And marvel at the purist sight of beings marvelous much
Labyrinth of life forgotten, surety washed ashore
Time is ticking, world is spinning, wheel is turning slow
Shifting tides reveal the mysteries as yet unsolved
‘Morrows consequence convert to modern flaws we know
Foresight remains unanswered as my history evolves
This subtle nightmare focused on reptilian affair
Patiently it stalks and pulls the wool over my eyes
Forcing me to do my rain dance, baron thirst to bear
Tricking me with drought to beg for watery demise
Drowning me in camouflage, submerging all my grief
Heats the water gradually, then smiles at this deception
Trust betrayed and marred by this most portentous thief
Boiling sorrows substitute belief for misconception
Courage risen Winter spell not conquering the depths of hell
Tear stained cheeks, crimson red from blind eye sockets seeping
Confusion course through icy veins' denial, I already fell
Constricted in its fiery pits at present as I’m sleeping
"Everybody wishes to one day walk through the gates of Heaven, but what if,
while we were
sleeping, we were banished to live in this dark abyss? Unknowingly, we might
already be
roaming the streets of hell."
