Where You Belong
"Where You Belong"
There's nothing like knowing just where you belong
after what seems a lifetime of getting it wrong.
Suddenly all of the questions that matter
are answered inside and the doubt seems to scatter.
A peace gently falls, caressing your soul
and all that seemed broken is comfortably whole.
The clamor of cluttered thoughts plaguing your mind,
silently windswept and distant behind.
"What if I'm settling?"
"Should I hold out?"
"How could this be right if my mind's filled with doubt?"
The epiphany comes when you find what you need
is hidden inside the one voice you should heed.
A soft quiet whisper that comes from the heart
still guarding your truth while your world falls apart.
It might come through prayer or the words of a song
when your heart leads you home to the place you belong.
