Where You Are

Early morning, still in bed I'd rather be with you instead Dreams I had with you last night Are still fresh memories, clear and bright Will I hear your voice today? Anything to me you say I cherish, you've such a pleasing tone A soothing coming from my phone I remember when you first called me The month was March, year '23 At the beach but in my car You seemed so close though you were far We talked about so many things Right then I felt love spread its wings Free, with ease our words did flow You had my heart, I let it go
