Where Would I Be

Where would I be were it not for the cross Where Christ died to save my soul? Where would I be were it not for His Blood? For it cleansed me and made me whole. Where would I be were it not for the stripes He bore so I could be healed? Oh, where would I be were it not for the love, And salvation to me He revealed. I'd be lost in sin and damnation. I'd be one of life's lost sheep. I'd be like a leaf in a whirlwind, Blown in a pit so deep. But because of the cross and the blood of the lamb, I've been saved by His Grace and set free. Because of that Grace and the sacrifice done I know that with Christ I will be. Where would I be had He not lifted me From the mire of sin and greed? Where would I be had He not given hope, and supplied the things that I need? Where would I be had He not sent His word and His Spirit to lead and to guide? Oh, where would I be had He not loved me and had me on His mind when He died. I'd be bound in sin and damnation, I'd be just another lost sheep. I'd still be a slave to temptation With ought but the whirlwind to reap. But I've been redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb I am saved by His Grace and set free. Because of His Grace and His pure cleansing Blood For eternity with Him i'll be Sept. 16, 1994
