Where Was the Moon

Where was the moon? Where was the moon when stars began singing Twinkling lyrics this December eve Whispering echoes on melodic breezes Flowing in patterns of sweet harmony Where were its beams as I wandered this pathway Waiting for you while the evening did sway Lost in the shadows of enchanted wishes Beneath a vision in glistened display Then as I saw you I noticed it glowing Beyond the tree line it slowly did rise Telling my heart that it must have been waiting For but the chance to reflect in your eyes Good night Soupers
