Where She Will Be
My eyes open blinking
They inspect the world
My duvet lets me know
I am not alone but surrounded
By a blanket of familiarity
Mum is close
Her smell like a cover of safety
I will recall
The World breathes and is hasty
Like a hungry being
Wishing me to do things
To explore
To feel
To do
I am frightened
But intrigued by its face at my window
So i grasp its nettle
Before it comes through
I am spun and turned
Flying, falling, feeling free
Ripped apart and broken
But when i land
I know that's where she will be
