Where Kids Play

The Christmas Wish for children, has really changed a lot, once riding through a neighborhood, one could tell what kids got. Big red bicycles, or a pair of roller skates, or maybe even a pogo stick, or an Easy Bake. The times are really changing, kids don't know how to play, now the sofa, and tv, is where they want to stay.

This is such a sad and true comment on society today. The best we can do, I think is pass on our love of the written word to our chidren! (And, turn off the tv!) Nice write, Christy! Donna G.

this is true for most kids, I love going outside though, and my little brother got a new bike this year and is so excited about it. But on a larger scale it is true. Great write Christy! Blessings, ~Michaela~

So true...I often think if the health issues of not getting enough hours playing, jumping, running and physical exercise that kids did in the "old days". Scary!! ~ Carrie

Very true, when we were youngsters we were sent outside to play with the neighborhood kids, but now it's not safe for the children. Instead of correcting the problem we cover it up by buying them stuff to keep them away from what needs to be fixed, Blessings ...Ron

Well, you brought back wonderful memories for me. And you are so right, it seems they all want something connected to the TV! Life continues to change and sadly not necessarily for the better. Good and bad to everything I suppose. Love, Shar
