Where Is the Light

WHERE IS THE LIGHT by JOHN M. ARRIBAS What evil spirits and demons inhabit the night I need someone, anyone to turn on some light I’m here all alone suffering with my plight I’m shaking and shivering with endless fright I fear huge dragons snorting fire at night Please send me the dawn brilliant and bright Giant snakes hissing wanting a chance to bite Ducking below the covers I’ll stay out of sight Ugly old witches on their brooms in flight Tiny gnomes with big heads dance in delight Gargoyles look down from a towering height Fire breathing steed with a headless knight I hear a rooster crowing and I’m still alive Its getting light now once more I will survive Had their chances to get me again I will deprive Night is a scary time when you’re only five
