Where I Least Expected
In winter's center, I found springtime
Roses and posies growing through snow.
Your love, I found, warm as May breezes,
Though the earth is hard and it's twenty below.
Your kiss, my empty heart, it fills
Your devotion drives off the chills
Of pain and misery from the past
Where icy rain pelted, tenderness melted
A heart once frozen; now thawed at last.
In the desert i found cool oasis,
Midst wasteland deserted, dry and bare.
In the deepest dark and cold of night,
I have found warm sunlight there.
In a barren , empty, ruined place
I couldn't tell below from above.
By pain surrounded, where least expected
I found a sweet and gentle love.
Lost, somewhere, in a world of lies,
I found one thing I know is true.
I found a treasure rare and new.
What I had sought, i found in you
