Where I Belong
Ya hear rappers talkin' this and that,
talkin' **** and ass,
all that ****s just crass,
and when I write my lines all my rhymes have class
They're all talkin' about trucks and rims
talkin chasin trim
because their depth is thin
they're done before they begin
and by the time they catch their flow I'm on my second wind
with words of actual meaning and beliefs that won't bend
where you see from the art of my craft all time that I spend
the integrity of the pen is what I hope to defend
I like to believe what I say because word is strong
I'd like to form my life around the feel of song
with a positive beat, and I'll hum along
'cause within the words on this page is where I belong.
