Where has she gone? I can't seem to find her though I try to play her part imitating her laugh coaxing my lips into one of her smiles mouthing her words singing her songs her dance is my dance I leave nothing to chance Practiced through and through what else can I do? I try real hard I try Where has she gone? I can't seem to find her the laugh is laughable, unreal the smile wobbly, no glee the songs, off key...off key the dance, lackluster mockery I try real hard I try Where has she gone? You know...that young woman the one not terrorized by her mirror whose songs were solo praiseworthy her hair, shampoo ad noteworthy the life of the party girl who swayed and who twirled spinning their world making them stare unaware...of time caught in the moment Sublime Where has she gone? If you find her I'm looking for her, you see... she visits now and again and then it's like.... it's again way back when when youth and beauty were on full duty Where has she gone? Why won't she stay? Help me make her stay because that woman of yesterday has to help me be the woman of today! Eileen Manassian

I could have sworn I commented on this one, but it seems to have vanished ... thankfully you have a much better chance at finding that woman of yesterday, then I do in finding my lost comment. Surely you are not a shadow Eileen ... for the person you are today has laughed more, cried more, and all around DONE more than she ever did. You are all of her ... and more. Beautifully written, my friend!

I know where she went, Eileen! I saw her...looked her in the eyes, watched her beautiful smile...heard her voice...and I know that deep inside she is still the same woman of yesterday! I'm adding this to my favs lady:) hugs // paul

I wish......you knew her way back when. You'd be enchanted, dear. This woman....is but a shadow. Thanks for lifting my spirits.

I had a comment for this. Then, I read Charmaine's comment...and I will utterly repeat what she said. Fly higher, my friend.

Amazing! I'm sure many will be able to relate Eileen. I still think you need a new mirror so that you can see the incredible woman we see. Hugs Rick.

That's the trouble with growing old my little Desert Orchid, we start living on old memories instead of making new ones. You've got a long way to go yet, so you better get a new camera lol. Besides everybody goes through this, I remember when ..................lol Take care, Richard

If you're looking in the mirror for your reflection, you're looking in the wrong place. The photo I look at everyday, that girl is a knockout. That's one of the sexiest smiles I've ever seen. Really love the introspective write but aging is a natural process for all. Peace pretty lady:)
