When You Are Gone

The garden then will seen unkempt
the birdsong silent, too
And all the flowers in their beds
will strain for sight of you

When you are gone the clocks will tick
and time will pass- its true
this once glad heart with frozen grief
  will choose monotony

Slow motion grey -life steal away
the dawn has failed the dream

And nothing now will ever be
what it was meant to seem

A strong sense of the anticipation of grief. It is coming and you can't get out of the way.
