When You Are Gone
The garden then will seem unkempt
birdsong silent, too
all the flowers in their beds
will strain for sight of you
When you are gone the clocks will tick
and time will pass- its true
this once, glad heart frozen with grief
will choose monotony
Slow motion grey -life steal away
the dawn has failed the dream
And nothing now will ever be
what it was meant to seem
